Traditionally, Board level responsibility for I.T. lay with the Finance Director. With increasing complexity of I.T. solutions, Finance Directors are ill equipped to perform this role effectively.
What is needed is someone at senior level with considerable knowledge and experience of I.T. to advise the Board on the I.T. implications of its policy decisions.
Computer Confidence can provide a virtual I.T. Director who can fill this role. The virtual I.T. Director would occupy a seat at Board meetings so as to understand the reasons for Policy decisions and be in a position to give advice on the I.T. implications of those decisions.
We are currently working with companies who have found this to be both efficient and cost effective by having an expert on board to avoid making costly mistakes.
